Being Grateful as I enter the Holiday and the New Year
During this time of year when there is so much holiday rushing around, and it gets dark so early, I have trouble motivating and feeling joy. Worrying about Christmas presents, finances, feeling like there is not enough time to get everything done, can make me feel rather anxious. So one way I find that I can get myself out of this slump is by being grateful and focusing on the positives and what IS going right.
Have you been looking for more information on how to improve your current health and lifestyle? With so much information out there on the internet and books you can find enough information to make you dizzy. One option I find easy to digest is watching food and health documentaries. In many the authors have already sifted through much data and studies to give you the essential important and often times life saving information!
With Fall well upon us, the days are getting shorter, it is getting darker earlier every day. It doesn't take much to realize how quickly each day passes now.
It is important to remember that it is natural for us to slow down a little this time of year and honor this. I know it is easy to get caught up in preparing for the upcoming holidays which can continue to wear our internal batteries out.
You get up tired and groggy, get yourself family and pets up and fed for the morning, then off to work you go. At work you are constantly assaulted with the wants and needs of others without a moment for pause or rest. Then after your busy day you rush home and are in a frenzy of cleaning and cooking only to find yourself non-stop until it is suddenly bed time. Something many people can agree on is how the daily grind can deplete not only your energy but also your Joy. So how can we find more Joy everyday? Just start adding one or more things from the list below and see how your Joy shifts.
