It is now summer! Although this week had a rather rainy start. Since our spring was so dry, it was much needed. We have gone already through an eclipse, and now a full moon. Many have already taken or will be taking vacations soon. This is such a pivotal time to do this. After being basically homebound for a year and a half, many stir crazy families are very much looking forward to going somewhere and even visiting family they have not seen in a long time!

I hope this blog finds you enjoying the blessed weather. It always seems to be a great relief to get from winter into spring! Especially in this year of 2021. Last year was an especially long year, that made each season feel even longer.
As the sun has started shining more, and the temperature has started to improve, getting outside is something I am sure most people are more than ready for. Now that the time change has occurred it is easy to keep going into the later hour without even realizing it. Finally enjoying more of the day and being able to spend more of it outside.
One of my favorite things in the spring is watching the Crocus bloom, a sure sign spring has arrived. It’s inspiring to see nature come to life again unprompted and untended to.
The Holidays can be so stressful and draining for so many reasons not least of which is preparing & planning, holiday parties, holiday related expenses, seasonal weather, lack of sunshine, increased exposure to the rush & fury of shopping, not to mention the friends and relatives that may test your patience.
So this month I am sharing with you some ways in which you can re-energize, restore, build resilience and hopefully have a better more enjoyable holiday season!
Practicing Self-Care is important all year long. The busyness of the holidays can cause us to let self-care slide, and set us up for decreased ability to fight off seasonal colds and flu's as well as other immune conditions. This can exacerbate chronic diseases and conditions, making us much more miserable by the holiday season's end.
Some main key self-care items are adequate sleep, staying well hydrated, getting fresh air, adding in fresh fruits and vegetables, finding time to meditate, journal, or some other quiet activity to just tune out of what's around you and tune into yourself, and last but not least adding more laughter into your life.
Do you ever feel like your life or health are out of balance? Sometimes we are so busy it's hard to tell exactly where the changes may need to occur. There are many ways in which we can begin to make subtle changes that can improve our health and well-being to bring back balance.
